Weston Allen, listed under the Loyalists of the Leeds/Grenville area.
My family lives in Grafton, ON, connection to Allens through
father Paul Allen Sweet (b. 3 Aug 1955), whose mother Rosemary (Allen) Sweet
(b. 4 Jul 1931) was only child of Albert Franklin Allen (b. 23 Aug 1900 d. 4
Sep 1987) & Mary Pauline Mulhall. Albert's parents were Charles Morris
Allen (b.1 Jan 1870 d.28 May 1945) & Eunice Drinkwalter both bur in
Eddystone cem close to family home in Grafton. Charles' parents were Morris
Allen (b.6 Jul 1835 d.14 Dec 1912) & Ruth Bradley. Morris' parents were
Ira Allen (b.1803 d.1870) & Permelia. Ira is buried at Academy Hill
Cemetery, also in Grafton, along with uncle Ebenezer Allen (b. 1770 d.1845).
Tracking down Ira's parents was confusing because of cousins living
at the same time also named Ira. With the help of some other researchers, am
resonably convinced that Ira's parents were Henry Allen (b. abt 1772 d.6 Jul
1832) & Phebe. Suspect that Henry and Ebenezer might be sons of Weston,
but this is mainly through clues given to me by other researchers. Any
help you could give me would be wonderful.

Replying to query made by Ronald Fitzgerald May 2006. He was
looking for a book about the Pruners living in and around Aultsville.
Daisy Neilan put together a book called Peter Prunner the Loyalist in 1983, it
was distributed to a small group of people. It is photocopied sheets and
quality is not very good, but it does have a lot of information. I have a copy
of it. Most of it I have transferred to my computer. I have quite a bit
of information on the Pruner family. Those who are interested can see my
website listed above, or for more detailed information can contact me at the
email address. I have much more information than I have published on the
Website. As well there will be a reunion for all the Descendents of John
Jerimiah Pruner and Emma Jane Barkley in the Summer of 2008.
