Seeking info on grandfath Edward D. Wilson's possible first mar on his siblings & their
families. Also seeking info on the siblings and/or parents of Andrew Wilson & his wife
Elizabeth Richards. Any other connections to these fams greatly appreciated. This is the info
we have: Edward D. Wilson (my great grandfath), born 23 Jan (or Feb) 1854 in Leeds
County, bapt 18 April 1854 Wesleyan Methodist, died 24 May 1924 in B'ville, bur in Lehigh
Cemetery, Kitley Twsp. We believe Edward worked for or operated a hotel/summer resort on
the lake by Charleston in the summer & in the off-season worked as a Traveling Sales Agent
for Chase Brothers Nursery at the time he married Elizabeth Pollard. His parents are
Andrew Wilson & Elizabeth Richards. Andrew Wilson, born circa 1821 in County Down,
Ireland, died 10 October 1883, buried in Lehigh Cemetery. Andrew was a farmer. Elizabeth
Richards born circa 1828, ON, died 3 February 1904, age 76, buried in Lehigh Cemetery. His
sibs are: (1) Mary Ann Wilson, born 01 January 1857, Kitley Twsp, died 19 July 1947,
buried in Lehigh Cemetery. (2) Caroline Elizabeth Wilson born 25 November 1862, died 10
January 1877, buried in Lehigh Cemetery. (3) Samuel Andrew Wilson born circa 1867, died
06 September 1946. (4) Uriah Wesley Wilson born 29 June 1870, died circa 1955. Edward
D. Wilson mar Elizabeth Pollard circa 1896 or 1897 in Athens or Brockville, believed to
have taken place in the Bach residence. They had 4 children Wilhelmine Elizabeth (my
grandmother), Ruby Burnece,
Beatrice Eveline and Edna Irine all of whom were born in Ontario. After Edward's death in
1924, Elizabeth and her 3 daughters moved to Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan where her oldest
daughter Wilhelmine lived. The supposition that Edward had been married, and had a
daughter, previous to his marriage to Elizabeth Pollard has been handed down through the
family but we have no factual information to back this up.

Looking for info re grandfather Andrew Greenhill & his wife Agnes Somerville. Both born in
Scotland. came to Ontario at early age. met & mar in the Hamilton. Ontario area, moved to
Prescott probably in the 1870"s. Had a dry-goods & clothing store on the main street. Made a
two-month trip to Scotland & England in 1884 and kept a detailed journal which our family
has. Moved to Smith's Falls with their only child Eva (my mother) in the 1890's.
Was there a Greenhill family in Prescott before they came? The Historical Atlas of Leeds
and Grenville Counties, 1861-62, reprinted 1973, Mika Publishing Company, Belleville, ON
shows a group of King Street Stores, Prescott. A building called "Glasgow Warehouse" also has the name "Robertson Greenhill and Co."

Searching for the exact date of death (day, month and year) of my great grandmother,
Catherine (Heffenan) Neff. She was buried at Philipsville Roman Catholic Cemetery, ON &
according to the headstone died in 1904 ( I have the transcription from the headstone)
Although other family members believe she died in 1903. Unable to find her in the Ontario
death index. Wondering if there would be a newspaper for the district of Soperton or the
town of Delta or the town of Phillips viI Ie, Ontario. Would you be able to tell me the name of
the newspaper? Or the other possibility would be to contact the church. Would there have
been a Catholic church in the area in 1903 to 1904?

Subject: Obituaries
From Duane & Helen Carey Krause. Helen's great great grandfather Patrick Carey
immigrated to Kitley Corners (Toledo) in about 1828. His son John Carey married
Ellen Trainor & moved to Nebraska in about 1871. We have found that Patrick had
a sister Rose married to an O'Regan, probably Edmond who died between 1844 &
1849. Last name was probably also spelled Reagan. In 1951 Rose Reagan listed as
a 62 year old widow. Rose died in 1862-3. Patrick died on Dec 23,1867 age 71. His
brother John Carey died in 1908 at the age of about 83. Can anyone help me find
obituaries on these people, especially Patrick and John Carey. They were Kitley
folk; Patrick & John are burried in 81 Philip Neri cemeteries. I have no record of
Rose's death or burial. I have researched 8t Philip marriages. deaths, and burials
and have researched 1800 through 1861 census..

Youngs, who jumped ship in South Australia in 1850s. Fam of Isaac's and Betsey's sett in
Jefferson CO NY ~vhere most of census info came from. All sho~v that Betsey '''as born ca

YOUNGS and Charlotte (Unknown) 29 April 1831 & christened 17 July 1832 in Montague
Twp Lanark Ontario. The Census record state that Isaac was married only once
a) Who was Charlotte?
b) Was Betsey also given the name Charlotte?
c) Did Charlotte die before Isaac married Betsey (maybe in childbirth)?
d) Is there a Charlotte buried in Montague around that time?
Would appreciate any assistance you can give or anysuggestions that may help.

For those searching for any connections to Wood family in Augusta. Amasa Wood's father
was a Joseph Wood from the U.S.A. somewhere, to Canada circa 1800, but that was a very
dead end. Amasa was said to be a brother to Solomon Wood (wife Anna Lakins).
Thad Leavitt wrote about your Wood family, in his 1879 Leeds - Grenville History.

know there probably isn't any census for that year. He also had two sisters born in Leeds. Mary Jane in 1846 and
Arvilla in 1848. I was wondering if maybe there was a tax census or some way to get their birth records for that time
period some how. I'm also trying to find census records for Ontario for 1861, 1871, 1891 and 1901. I'm looking for
George Wood in those years. I'm not sure what townships he may have been in for those years so that's why I say
Ontario. Any help would be appreciated. Patrick in MI.

From the 1842 census of Bastard Twp., Leeds Co., I have found three
separate CAMPBELL families living in the township. JOHN CAMPBELL on Lot 18, Con. 5 is possibly
my wife's ancestor and I wish to find out more about his family and descendents in the Harlem, area. He
arrived in Canada c. 1825 from Ireland with his wife Mary. Some of the children are Robert CAMPBELL
b c. 1826, Mary- who married Wm. BISHOP and Alexander CAMPBELL born 1840, married Annie
McMILLAN c. 1873 and died 1919- buried Harlem Cemetery.
Robert Campbell married Charlotte HENDERSON in Perth, Ont. in 1844, but both were from Bastard
Twp. I am trying to find Charlotte's parents as well.
Where would the copy book of wills be located in Leeds County to see if there is a will for John Campbell c. 1863-1868?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
