Grgrgrandparents were Charles Farrell & Nancy Jane Clow. She was dau of Simon Clow & Nancy Meyers. Simon was son of Henry Clow & Rebecca de Forest. Rebecca was the daughter of Simon de Forest & Mary McGinnis. Mary's parents were Sarah Kast & Timothy McGinnis. Grfather, John Andrew Swanston,

Their 2nd son was William Charles Swanston, oldest dau Nancy Jane Swanston. Another child was George Clow Swanston. Faths oldest bro James Ferrell (sic) Swanston; another bro Hubert Clow Swanston. Have located fam of Charles and Nancy Jane Ferell (sic) in the 1861 Ontario Census. living in Egremont Township. Grgrandmoth Susan was included at the appropriate age, 9 years old at in census. Charles' wife was shown as Nancy Jane Ferell. Her age was appropriate. According to info on various web sites, she born in 1826. In the 1871 census, the family name is transcribed as Farrel with one I. Looking tor record of mar of Charles Farrell (whatever the correct spelling is) & Nancy Jane Clow, believe b in E'town. He born in Ireland ca 1826. Eldest child, Elizabeth Jane, b in New York State. Susan 2nd child b Canada West. Next 2 children may also have been born In New York. Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I try to confirm my relationship to Henry Clow and Sarah Kast.**********************
