Recently the Library/Archives has taken on a new look. A number of new filing cabinets have been added, along with a new desk and table. This, with the rearrangement of the machines, makes the room more user friendly and gives the appearance of more space.
The Branch has just purchased the following land records which compliment Sandra Wunder's book, Grenville County land Record Index circa 1790-1850 as follows:

Recently the Archives/Library
has received material from the Livingstons and making space for
this collection necessitated some rearranging of the library.
The Ruth Wells
collection has also been received but has yet to be catalogued.
All the machines have now
been placed on the west wall enabling easy access to the microfilm cabinet.
'New' filing cabinets have
been purchased.
Cabinet 1 on the north wall
backing on the stairs contains the pedigree files, queries, vertical files and
stationery.
Cabinet
2 has the Vera Kitson collection, bmd and obits from
the Smiths Falls Reporter and the Brockville Recorder and Times.
Cabinets
4 and 5 on the south wall house the Livingston collection, and
Cabinet 6 has the Polly Craig collection.
In
November 2005 the
ONTARIO
TRILLIUM FOUNDATION
granted
the
LEEDS
AND GRENVILLE BRANCH
of
the Ontario Genealogical Society
$34,100.00
for
the purchase of the following items:

- 5 and 1 - 8 drawer Russ Bassett Corp. microfilm cabinets
